By preserving and displaying this important historical heritage from the year 2000 onwards, the Institute and Chair of History of Medicine offers the university community and society in general the testimony of those objects which used to form the usual equipment used by those who worked -with enthusiasm and success, with doubts and failures- in order to relieve human suffering.
This museum offers didactic support to the Chair and Institute of History of Medicine, with regard to its teaching tasks, by means of guided tours organized both for the graduate students who follow the Teaching Career at the Faculty of Medicine of the UBA and undergraduates that attend seminars on Medical Humanities.
